The Tennessee Christmas Tree Growers Association (TCTGA) was officially organized  as a non-profit entity on September 11, 1971. In the early years, the association was instrumental in aiding the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Division of Forestry in their establishment of Christmas tree seed orchards in order to improve seed stock quality for the growth of Christmas trees in the state. The association assisted in the publication of a Christmas Tree Growers Manual published by the Tennessee Division of Forestry in the early 1980’s and is currently attempting to write and publish a new manual.
