Farm Profile

While stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Brad, and Lacey Nelson began to dream of owning a choice and cutting a Christmas Tree farm. Lacey was born in Dickson, TN, and Brad was from Knoxville, TN. After meeting in college, they married and began their lives as a military family. Once Brad retired from the Army, they knew Tennessee would be their final home. After a trip to a KS tree farm, they knew what they wanted to do after retirement!

In 2014, the first White Pines were planted. No matter where the Army took the Nelsons, every spring, they came home to plant more trees. In July 2021, Brad retired from the Army. Nelson Ridge Farm is now their priority.  Four species comprise the 1,000+ trees that are now planted on the farm.
